Date Night Hockey Hat

I’ve been making my self a lot of hats this season.  I haven’t been a fan in the past but with all these cute designs and gorgeous faux fur pom poms, how can you resist?

Back in December, my fiancee and I got tickets to go to a Toronto Maple Leafs game which was so exciting because we don’t get to go out often just the two of us with two 3 year old boys (I’m sure a lot of you can relate!).  And as most crocheters can probably relate, it’s always exciting to have a reason to make a new project. So along came my “Date Night Leafs Hat”.

I found this Lion Brand Pom Pom at Dollarama believe it or not!  I’m loving faux fur pom poms right now, as you may have been able to tell from my last few posts.  The pattern for this was purchased on Ravelry which is the same pattern I used for the Black Mountain Slouch Hat I previously posted about.

The yarn used was Red Heart Super Saver in Royal and White.  I doubled up on blue for the edge of the hat, then used 1 strand each of blue and white for the marbled look.  I am very happy with the way it turned out and it kept me nice and cozy at the game!

Thanks for reading 🙂  You can check out more hats I’ve made here.
